Poster Shop For You |
Poster shop is always there on the Internet when you are looking for
stunning images to decorate your surroundings.
Well, a lot has been said about these large pieces of paper, with
portraits of our favorite stars on them. Mainly they are of A3 size,
and when being sold are rolled up into cylindric tubes, so that they
won't be deformed during transportation. When you bring them home, you
should unroll the poster and put it under some kind of press, and it'll
regain its original form.
Posters are regularly printed on silk paper and have either text or
picture or picture together with text on them. That's on one side. The
other side is mostly blank. It faces the wall, so no one is going to
see
it and there's no need to print anything there.
But previously, as we know from the works of historians, posters used
to have only text on them. These were meant for attracting the
attention of people in the streets to certain events or for advertising
certain goods or services. Later, in the end of the nineteenth century
lithography was invented. This caused a revolution in poster
production. Of course, back than no one thought about selling posters
and the name "poster shop" would sound rather strange. But the
popularity of posters originates in France. The artists from Paris have
made it a piece of art, not only an advertising tool. In the end of
nineteenth century the streets of French capital looked like real art
galleries, with advertising posters, made by well-known masters all
over the place.
Later on this fashion spread further around Europe, and to the USA. But
there nobody cared to produce masterpieces out
of posters. While in France even an exhibition of posters was held in the end
of the very same nineteenth century.
But still in those old times, though one cannot really call them
ancient, posters did not serve people the way they do in our time. On
the contrary, they were trying to subordinate people to the will of
their creators, or, rather of the customers of their creators. Those
posters, very beautiful and colorful, were only designed to sell you
some goods or services, or, maybe, to persuade you to vote for a
certain political power.
But in the end of the twentieth century they changed quite a bit. Now
we purchase posters in order to enjoy them, to please ourselves, to
outline our originality, to make our rooms look different from the ones
of other people.
There are several main kinds of posters: they are posters displaying
movie stars, the ones, which have a portrait of a music band on them,
the posters, which have a portrait of any other celebrity on them. By
just coming into our room a friend of ours is able to understand what
kind of movies we like watching and what kind of music we listen to.
This helps in establishing friendly relations.
But where to find a poster shop? Is a poster store something we
can often meet in the streets of our cities? Well, definitely so. But
what we are after is a poster shop that will satisfy all your needs, no matter how pathetically it sounds, and where there'd be a large
variety of posters available. So that you'd be able to choose a poster
to your taste and compare various posters. Of course, any book-store
would have a poster department, but what we are looking for is a
serious store, maybe even a movie poster shop or a music poster shop,
something where you would find whatever you may want.
Well, many people love buying things online. I am among those people.
So my advice is to look for a poster shop on the Internet.
Certainly, you will be able to find a good one easily, and the
price is going to surprise you pleasantly. The posters will be shown to
you right on the display of your computer or a laptop, you'll be able
to compare them for as long as you may ever want. Having chosen what
you want you will be able to pay for your purchase right away, right
there, online, with your credit card or any other means of payment.
Then you indicate, where you would love to have your poster delivered -
and - you are done, sir!
Your purchase is going to be delivered right to your door, safe and
sound, that's what I call a poster shop! And it is there for you! |
