Thoughts to Ponder...

If work makes you sick,
and thinking makes you tired,
now is the time to go into politics.

On-the-ground research during a recent trip to Washington reveals that the floatum of partisan politics has engasseated to the very highest level. Floatum, the meaningless ideas that swirl in search of a safe place to land, has blanketed the nation’s capitol in a downy cloud of political puff and pap.

Throughout most of Washington’s history, idiotoxic floatum has tended to orbitate around only one of the political parties at a time. The current floatumal and pollutal balance between the Republicans and the Democrats, however, is causing the Ship of State to be buffeted mightily. The sails are beginning to shred, the rudder is refusing to respond to the frantic commands of the helmsman, and the navigational charts are being thrust into a rusty gridlocker. And many old salts of the political seas are abandoning ship.

Is this all bad? No! Is there an upside to the downsizing of Washington’s fleet of floating barnacles? Yes!

There are special opportunities for new recruits. If work makes you sick, and thinking makes you tired, send your resume to either of the two major parties. If you have no tilt to either party, flip a coin.

The Republican National Committee, 310 First Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003
The Democratic National Committee, 430 South Capitol SE, Washington DC 2003

Sending your resume through the services (sic) of the Postmaster General requires you to be patient about receiving a response.
